2018 Contract Negotiations Update
Bargaining Update:
This year, the California Association of Professional Employees will sit across the table from Los Angeles County management to negotiate successor agreements to its MOUs for units 131/132, 501/502 and 511/512.
The first unit negotiating sessions between the California Association of Professional Employees and the County of Los Angeles took place June 12 (501/502 and 511/512) and June 19 (131/132).
The next bargaining sessions scheduled are as follows: Units 501 & 502: July 10
Units 511 & 512: July 10
Units 131 & 132: July 17
NEGOTIATIONS TIMELINE:
On March 29, negotiations commenced for the Fringe Benefits contract, which is bargained through the Coalition of County Unions (CCU). CAPE General Counsel and CCU chair Blaine Meek is the chief negotiator for the CCU.
On March 22, CAPE conducted a Salary Inequities Seminar for members interested in presenting a salary inequity at negotiations.
On Feb. 24, CAPE Negotiations Team members met at the CAPE office for orientation and proposal development. We have an enthusiastic team of members representing the interests of their fellow CAPE union members!
