Workplace Health & Safety Course at LATTC

Los Angeles Trade Tech College's Labor Center is offering a course on Workplace Health & Safety. The two-day weekend course takes place April 21 and 28 at LA Trade Tech College. There is an option May 6 day to earn a Health & Safety Certificate

IMPROVING CONDITIONS FOR WORKERS AND THE COMMUNITY

What can you do if you are worried about unsafe equipment, stress or toxic chemicals at work?

How do you make the case for safer and healthier working conditions to your employer and co-workers?

When and how do you file a Cal/OSHA complaint?

Learn to prevent and respond to accidents, illnesses and a variety of workplace hazards in this two-Saturday, one-unit class taught by educators from the UCLA - Labor Occupational Safety and Health (LOSH) Program, Deogracia Cornelio and Hector Flores.

Among other leadership skills, this participatory, hands-on workshop will teach you the basics of root-cause analysis, and how to develop a strategic action plan to advance injury and illness prevention in the workplace.

  • Ergonomic issues, biological hazards, workplace violence
